I was tasked with redesigning the existing app in order to make it attractive, informative whilst remaining simple in its usage, putting in all the information necessary for drivers and companies.
The old version was rushed for the launch of the product, so my role was to spend more time on redesigning the user flow and user journey.
At this stage it was time to re-define my goal and narrow down its scope based on the insights I gained from users. Because of the short timeline for this exercise, I chose to focus on a single feature.
Both companies and delivery drivers need an easy and convenient platform that displays locations, journey times, adding/editing drivers' details and the status of orders in queue, in progress and completed thus creating a seamless user journey.

Collaborating with the founder was an enriching experience as I learnt how to communicate efficiently with the stakeholder.
Overall, my design eradicated the frustration companies faced due to the previous version's complex interface and the difficulty in locating key information.
Here are some of my key takeaways:
Users can view live updates of their order from the moment it is placed till the moment it arrives through an informative wizard.An estimated time of delivery is also added to this section.I implemented a map — the user can view the rider’s location, restaurant location and also the selected drop off location in real time.The user can also contact the rider from this section.
